Stay Ahead of Emission Standards with P&P Technology
Ensure your compliance with even the most stringent emission regulations using P&P technology. Whether you're aiming to meet European standards, such as the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) 2010/75/EC, preparing for the new IED 2.0 (2024/1785) revisions, or adapting to the Medium Combustion Plant Directive (MCPD) (DIRECTIVE (EU) 2015/2193) developments and Best Available Techniques (BAT/BREF), we’ve got you covered.
Our solutions are also aligned with global emission standards, including the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) in the US, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) in India and in China, World Bank guidelines, and many more.
What is the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED)?
The IED establishes a legal framework to regulate emissions and, in some cases, defines the maximum allowable limits. Combined with Best Available Techniques (BAT), it serves as a benchmark for technological compliance, guiding authorities in determining emission limits through an integrated approach. Important update: The latest IED revision will take effect on August 4, 2024, giving member states 22 months to implement changes. Notable updates include stricter emission limits for NOx, SOx, dust, and mercury across various industries.

What is the Medium Combustion Plant Directive (MCPD)?
The MCPD regulates emissions from medium combustion plants (1 MW to 50 MW), regardless of fuel type, ensuring that even smaller installations comply with air quality standards. It’s essential for plants not covered by the IED to meet these requirements.
Upcoming Deadlines:
- Plants > 5 MW must comply by January 1, 2025.
- Plants ≤ 5 MW must comply by **January 1, 2030.
